I don’t believe every child learns the same way, or thrives under rigid exam systems. While recognised syllabi are used as a reference point, my lessons are primarily guided by each child’s interests, personality, and pace. Students learn through a combination of original material, songs they enjoy, and hands-on playing – helping them build confidence, explore creativity, and develop a healthy, positive relationship with music.

In many households, music education is often tied to discipline and grades. While well-intentioned, this can sometimes lead children to associate music with pressure rather than enjoyment. Having seen how strong technical training doesn’t always result in a lasting relationship with music, I focus on teaching in a way that keeps learning positive, expressive, and meaningful – so music remains a supportive outlet, not something children grow away from.
